Eric Holmes is looking forward to winning a championship this Sunday at Altamont Motorsport Park. Eric is 47 points in front of Modesto’s Mike David, in the NASCAR Grand National West Division. This Sunday’s finale at the half-mike track near Tracy will be exciting for all, both drivers run well at the track. Eric has had two Southwest Tour victories at the track with the last being on Sept. 23.

Mathematically, David would have to win the race and beat Holmes by eight positions to overtake him in the standings. David knows the second part of that equation is improbable since Holmes runs so well at Altamont. Eric also is coming off his first Grand National West victory from Texas a couple weeks ago, besides having had eight top five finishes and nine top ten finishes this season.

Opening Ceremonies begin at 1:30, with qualifying at 3:30. The green flag is to wave at 5:00 pm for the 200 lap race.
