Eric Holmes and the BRE team will be traveling this weekend, July 1st to Roseburg, Oregon to compete at Douglas County Speedway in the BI-Mart Firecracker 150, presented by NAPA Belts & Hose. Eric finished third his last time he visited the track back in 2002 in the West Division event. This weekend will be the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series race #6. Douglas County Speedway is a .5-mile paved oval. Qualifying will be held at 5:00 pm with the green flag to wave at 8:30 pm for 150 laps (75 miles). Eric remains to hold 3rd place in the point standings going into the 6th event of the 2006 season. The race can be seen live on HDNet.

After the race in Roseburg, Eric and his crew are headed to Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy, CA to run in the Altamont “150” to be held Sunday July 2nd. Altamont is also .5-mile paved oval track. This event will be NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series race #4. It will also be the first time since 2002 that NASCAR Southwest Division has run on this track. Eric competed in that race in July of 2002, he started fourth and came home a winner that night. He’s hoping to repeat that win this Sunday evening. Qualifying will be held at 3:45 pm with the green flag to wave at 7:10 pm. Eric is headed in the right direction for a championship by holding first place in the point standings in the Southwest Series.
