Eric Holmes will be running this weekend June 24th at Infineon Raceway in the running of the Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen 200. Eric, currently third in the NASCAR Grand National AutoZone West Series, will be joining forces with Busch East Series car owner, Robert Torriere and the NDS Motorsports team from Massachusetts. He will be driving the #35 Bollegraaf/Coastal Wire Ford Taurus. This car is one that has won road course events in the Busch East Series.

This event will be Eric’s 8th appearance at Infineon. His previous seven races at Infineon were with the NASCAR Auto-Zone Elite Division, Southwest Series. In 2005 Eric won the Bud Pole Award and finished second in the race, behind a car he built and was driven by Tom Dyer. In Eric’s seven previous races, at Infineon, he has 2 top five finishes and 4 top 10 finishes.

This event is the fifth of a 12-race schedule for the West Series in 2006. It marks a return by the series to Infineon Raceway after a seven-year absence. Eric has 3 top five finishes this season and one Bud Pole Award in the West Series.

Qualifying for the Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen 200 will be held Friday at 2:50. The green flag will wave at 1:00 pm Saturday for 64 laps (127.36 miles) with posted awards at $165,270.00. The race can be seen Live on HDNET. SPEED will air the race on July 6th @ 2:30 pm (PT).
